Food Pod Wash System

Morclean’s food pod wash system is engineered to efficiently clean the interiors of food pods, containers, tanks, bins, Dolavs, and similar items.

This semi-automated system allows food pods, and other container types, to be loaded onto the machine using a forklift truck (FLT).

The cleaning process is carried out automatically. Featuring a 360-degree cleaning head, the system ensures thorough and effective cleaning with minimal manual intervention.

The food pods or containers can be inverted, elevated, and loaded using an FLT drum rotator, turntable, waist gripper, or similar equipment.

Alternatively, when FLT pockets are present at the base of the tank, they can be lifted and inverted prior to loading onto the wash system.

Once positioned on the wash system, a simple one-button operation activates the 360-degree cleaning head, which rotates on two axes.

The cleaning process can be timed or controlled manually by the operator to suit the level of soiling, ensuring flexibility and efficiency.

A robust frame with integrated guides facilitates safe FLT loading, protecting both the cleaning head and the catchment tray from damage.

The steel structure is designed to support the weight of the container on the frame and is available with a galvanized, painted, or stainless steel finish for durability and customization.

After the cleaning process, the containers are removed from the frame using the FLT, and the cycle is repeated.

This lifting mechanism eliminates manual handling, allowing the entire operation to be managed by one operator using an FLT and a single start/stop button.

For added safety, as with most Morclean bin wash systems, the machine can be installed alongside a safety cage equipped with safety switches and remote controls. This ensures the operator remains outside the wash area before the machine is activated, prioritizing user safety.

Water Capture

Waste water is collected in the catchment tray, located beneath the system. Constructed from heavy-duty polyethylene and equipped with removable fibreglass gratings, the tray captures and contains larger debris for easy removal.

The settled waste water is then pumped to an above-ground tank for storage or disposal. Both the water catchment tray and storage tanks are designed for easy emptying and refreshing, ensuring efficient maintenance and operation.

Options for water treatment

Heavy duty water filter housing

The water is filtered before being discharged into a mains foul drain or reused throughout the day with recycling options. These options include full or partial treatment and recycling or simple filtration combined with dosing detergents, biocides, or similar agents for reuse.

Additionally, the Morclean V-Mix water fresher device can be installed as an optional feature, and water can be stored in a holding tank for future use, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
