At Morclean, we’ve been proud to support Fairplay for many years. They’re one of the incredible charities we raise funds for through our annual Slow Rally, and it’s high time we gave them the recognition they deserve. Meet Fairplay – Supporting Families, Changing Lives
Fairplay is a lifeline for families across North Derbyshire. They support children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, along with their parents and siblings. Their approach is all about creating opportunities, offering support, and making life a little brighter for families who often face huge challenges.
From play schemes and Saturday clubs to youth groups and independent living skills sessions, Fairplay runs a wide range of activities for children and young people aged 0–25. For parents and carers, they offer vital support groups and family trips – giving everyone a chance to connect, recharge, and share experiences with others who truly understand.
But Fairplay doesn’t stop there. Working in partnership with Clinical Commissioning Groups and specialist children’s nurses, they also provide home-based care for children with complex and life-limiting health needs. It’s a flexible, child-centred service that offers both practical support and peace of mind.
Why Fairplay Matters
Fairplay’s work makes a tangible difference. Children and young people get the chance to learn, play, and grow in a safe, inclusive environment. Parents and carers get a much-needed break – and the reassurance that their loved ones are in caring hands.
Their purpose-built centre in Chesterfield is a hub of activity, laughter, learning, and friendship. And with your support, they can continue to do even more.
